Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment

ME+MA CIC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

2. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

We are working towards WCAG 2.1 Level AAA conformance. Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AAA, meaning some parts of the content may not fully conform to the AAA standard.

  • ARIA labels and roles where appropriate
  • Keyboard navigability throughout the site
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
  • Colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG AAA standards (minimum 7:1 for normal text)
  • Text resizing support up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Alternative text for all informative images
  • Form labels associated with all input fields
  • Skip-to-content links for keyboard users
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion settings

5. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations:

  • Some third-party embedded content may not fully meet WCAG AAA standards
  • Legacy PDF documents may not be fully accessible
  • Complex SVG illustrations on our story page include descriptive text but may not convey all visual detail to screen reader users

We are actively working to address these limitations. If you encounter an issue not listed here, please contact us.
